Our Client

Our client is a privately owned family business established in 2001 and based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. They provide Before & After School Care and Vacation Care to school aged children, for nine different schools. They think of their staff as part of their family and wish to provide a relaxed, safe and caring environment where children can have fun through participating in a diverse range of age appropriate, yet stimulating activities.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Out of Hours School Team Leader to join their company in Dee Why, NSW, with the potential to earn a Negotiable Salary Package Based on Experience and Hours Worked + Superannuation.

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the day to day management and organisation of the centre. You will have on average about 8-10 kids in the morning and around 25 kids in the afternoon.

Reporting directly to the Staffing Manager some of your responsibilities include:

  • Create a happy, safe environment for both children and staff
  • Work 5 days per week for roughly 35 hours, 7am-9am & 2.30-6pm
  • To ensure the safety and well-being of all children and make sure the rules are being adhered to
  • To maintain service records such as attendance, accounts, bookings, stock orders and displaying programs
  • Leading and mentoring two support staff in the centre and accept final responsibility of decision making
  • Establish and maintain good relations with parents and encourage parent participation in centre activities

To be successful in this role you will have 2+ years experience as a coordinator of school aged children with staff management experience. You must have a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one and a current working with children check.

You must also have completed a Certificate III or Diploma in childcare to be considered for this role.

Any experience with QikKids software would be highly beneficial for this position. You must also have your own reliable vehicle and live locally to Dee Why
