Our client is a successful business providing solutions to business' for sustainable grass farming. They develop equipment and grazing systems on their Burleigh farm. They are currently developing new technology in the fields of grazing management, irrigation, and animal handling. Burleigh is also the venue for courses and frequently employs graduate interns who have a special interest in our grazing systems.
Our client is seeking a Farm Manager to join their company in Bulls, Rangitikei, NZ, with the potential to earn a negotiable base salary based on experience + Bonuses + 3 Bedroom cottage on the farm + Free Phone & Internet.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the daily running of the farm ensuring all stock are cared for (they are moved onto fresh pasture every 2 days). You will be responsible for sales and purchases, contractors and vet visits.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director some of your responsibilities include:
To be successful in this role will have an open mind and enthusiasm for improving and developing yourself and the farm and you will believe in soft handling techniques. You will also have a minimum of 2 years experience working with cattle.
