Our Client

Our client is an online back office solution provider that has been providing software solutions and services to McDonald's franchises for more than 30 years. Our client has expanded its offering by establishing a Service Bureau that includes Payroll, Bookkeeping, Monthly Accounts and IRD filing. All aspects of the business including the Service Bureau continue to grow from strength to strength. 

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Business Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join their company in New Lynn, Auckland. 

There is the potential to earn $45,000 - $70,000 per annum Based on Experience + Laptop + Opportunity to Participate in the Company Bonus Scheme.  

Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager some of your responsibilities include:

  • Providing bookkeeping and monthly accounting services to McDonald's franchisees
  • Processing payroll for McDonald's franchiseees
  • Using Xero, Invitbox and company software tools
  • Reconciling bank statements and entering invoices
  • Processing supplier payments and following up on missing information
  • Preparing for month end reporting cycle

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years of practical bookkeeping experience and Xero certification 
  • Experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliation, supplier payments and GST invoice methods 
  • A good understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience in processing payroll in NZ and/or Australia (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment and liase with clients 
  • The ability to work from home if needed - living close to New Lynn (Auckland) is preferable
  • An Accounting degree (desirable)
  • Experience in monthly management accounting within the restaurant industry (desirable)
  • Fixed asset registering and reconciling (desirable)
