Our client was established in 1916, and is a Baptist theological college. They are an approved teaching institution of the Australian College of Theology and a registered teaching institution of the University of Divinity and are a member of the South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges.

About The Opportunity

They are looking for a Dean, Faculty of Counselling, Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care to join their team in Macquarie Park, NSW.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide strategic and scholarly leadership to the team within the faculty of counselling, chaplaincy and spiritual care.

Reporting to The Principal, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching and assessment in agreed subject areas as per the Faculty Teaching Allocations Formula
  • Overall planning, development, renewal and changing of faculty academic programmes to ensure meaningful academic outcomes, quality, effectiveness and financial viability and obtaining the necessary approval of the Academic and College Boards
  • Formulating proposals for the annual fixing of tuition fees and materials fees for the various academic programmes
  • Development and maintenance of online presence and strategy in association with Online Department  

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A doctoral level qualification in counselling, chaplaincy, spiritual care or a related discipline 
  • Previous experience teaching at a tertiary level in your field of expertise
  • The ability to demonstrate strong Christian values and character 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
