About The Opportunity

They are looking for a Purchasing Officer / Stock Controller to join their company in Osborne Park, WA, with the potential to earn a Negotiable Salary Based on Experience + Super.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a considerable inventory of stock and all incoming and outgoing stock movements.

Reporting directly to the Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing suppliers activity - purchasing, deliveries, quality control, order changes etc
  • Receiving and documenting inwards goods 
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with existing and new suppliers and customers
  • Processing of purchase orders received including managing customers backorders 
  • Overseeing stock levels including conducting regular stocktakes
  • Organising efficient logistics including domestic and international via sea, air, and road
  • Creating and implementing new systems and procedures to increase efficiency 

About You 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in either logistics, procurement, warehouse management, supply chain, stock and inventory control; or a combination of these.

The candidate will also have:

  • Advanced knowledge in stock control
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills to maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse
  • Previous experience in the outdoor power industry and/or rope access industry would be desirable
  • A current forklift licence would also be desirable
