About the Role
Our client is now looking for a Communications Manager to join their organisation based in Auckland, NZ, with the potential to earn an attractive and negotiable salary based on experience.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the organisation's communications strategy in order to raise awareness of their work and the key issues affecting educational equity.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive some of your responsibilities include:
- Setting overall directions for the organisation's communication
- Maintaining their communications channels, including e-newsletters, websites and social media
- Creating annual reports to showcase and report on their work
- Building their profile with media and key influencers
- Identifying, researching and writing stories and case studies to illustrate the organisation's projects or themes
About You
- Extensive experience in a communication role at a high level
- Successful experience in media liaison and social media
- Proven managerial and supervisory experience
- Qualifications in Communications or other relevant fields
- An understanding of what makes a story that will engage a diverse range of readers
- Experience in identifying and shaping communication strategies
