Our Client

Our client established themselves as a medium sized, proactive family building company based in the Bay of Plenty region in early 2000. Now a thriving business our client's focus is to provide an excellent service to customers who require their construction and project management expertise for residential and commercial construction work. 

You will be located in the stunning surroundings of Tauranga which is situated amongst hectares of orchards and gardens. Furthermore, only short distance away is Mount Maunganui where you will find spectacular beaches famous for its surfing, as well as an abundance of adventurous activities to partake in. 


The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join their company in Tauranga, NZ, with the potential to earn an above award hourly wage | $25- $30 p/h dependant on experience + uniform. Our client is also seeking expressions of interest from carpenters wanting to work on a labour-only contract.

The primary purpose of this position is to use your skills in high-end residential refurbishments, new builds, light commercial and work in the health sector for the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.

Reporting directly to the Owner some of your responsibilities include:

  • Carry out all carpentry duties in an efficient manner with attention to detail 
  • Interpret directions, read plans and documents to perform constructions tasks
  • Maintain a clean work area and a safe work environment at all times

To be successful in this role you will be a Qualified Carpenter and have 4+ years experience working within the building industry. Additionally, you will possess your own tools, have a full drivers license and reliable transport.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of NZS3604 (New Zealand Standard for timber framed buildings), as well as knowledge of all health and safety requirements in the construction industry.
