About The Opportunity

A rare opportunity exists for a Category Manager with strong analytical skills and a passion for product. You will take ownership of a specific product category by developing strategic plans that align with consumer and industry trends. You'll be responsible for managing the product range, setting pricing strategies, and driving performance to maximise sales and profitability. 

Reporting to the GM of Operations, some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain accurate pricing structures across multiple tiers and SKUs
  • Manage margin performance and contribute to GP targets
  • Handle large-scale product and pricing data with accuracy
  • Oversee supplier negotiations and product validation
  • Provide monthly reporting to senior leadership
  • Source alternative products and manage supplier performance
  • Ensure product data and ranges are up to date in ERP systems
  • Support sales and frontline teams with training on product offerings

About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Prior experience in Category/Product Management 
  • Strong data analysis skills and ERP system experience 
  • Technical product understanding or experience in safety/PPE (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven track record managing large pricing books and SKU volumes using Excel
  • Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and reporting abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing product data
  • Self-motivated, organised, and efficient with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset
