About The Opportunity
This newly created Factory and Operations Lead role sits above the existing Factory Manager and is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, purchasing, forecasting, quality control, and product development across the facility.
Working closely with the Managing Director, Factory Manager, and broader operations team, you will provide senior leadership across production performance while remaining hands-on within the factory environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing factory production, workflow planning, and output targets
- Managing purchasing, supplier coordination, and material forecasting
- Driving manufacturing efficiency, quality standards, and continuous improvement
- Supporting research, development, and new product initiatives
- Assisting with costing and development of custom product ranges
- Overseeing quality control and warehouse coordination across operations
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- Senior experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership
- Industry experience in fabrication, metal manufacturing, HVAC, construction, or similar environments (desirable)
- Strong leadership skills with hands-on factory involvement
- Proven capability in forecasting, purchasing, and production planning
- A technical mindset with strong attention to quality and detail
- Confidence working across operations, manufacturing, and product development
