About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to manage estate planning and deceased estate matters while supporting a busy legal practice.
Reporting directly to the Principal some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own files autonomously across wills and estate matters
- Advising clients on estate planning, probate, and estate administration
- Preparing wills, powers of attorney, and related legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and external parties
- Managing deceased estate administration and probate applications
- Working closely with internal staff including law clerks and support teams
- Managing competing priorities and meeting strict deadlines
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor of Laws qualification and relevant legal admission
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a law firm environment
- Strong experience in wills, estates, and probate matters
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with clients
- Strong time management and ability to manage multiple files
- Experience with LEAP, Smokeball, and PEXA (highly regarded)
