Our client is a leading, privately-owned financial advisory firm providing excellent services to their clients nationally from their offices in Sydney.  They are known for having a team of highly qualified advisers, providing advice across Wealth Creation & Investment Strategies, Self-Managed Super, Retirement Planning, Debt & Risk Management, Estate Planning, Insurance, Mortgages, and Lending as well as Taxation strategies.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Advisers and their clients.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a point of contact for clients, fund managers, banks and insurance companies
  • Manage client portfolios from $100k to $20m + with a diverse range of investment products
  • Preparation of Annual/Quarterly Performance Reports & Statements of Advice
  • Compile tax-related documentation for clients' tax returns
  • Draw up advice implementation documents
  • Prepare insurance and investment advice
  • Create Records of Advice for clients
  • Provide ad-hoc admin support when required

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 12+ months of experience in a similar financial planning or asset management firm 
  • An Undergraduate Degree in Business or Finance
  • Completed Diploma in Financial Planning
  • RG146 is preferred
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with MS Office
  • Xplan (Investment Portfolio System and Risk Researcher) experience is required
  • Ability to commute to Sydney and work in the office full time

You will also have:

  • Strong knowledge of the financial market & previous exposure to direct shares & managed funds
  • Good knowledge of the latest industry trends & standards such as taxation, super contributions, pensions, SMSFs, trusts & compliance
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational & time management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, numerical, and interpersonal skills
